Can someone help me get to know some really cool country music?

I LOVE Bob Dylan, and i would like to get some amazing country music. I am not into Garth whatshisname, or Dolly Partin or kenny rogers etc. i would really appreciate it if someone could suggest some country music like the Band or hank williams etc with a bit of banjo etc,,,hope Im not too vague. I'm not an american so its harder to find. thank you!
