I almost got jumped help?

Me and my friends were playing basketball and suddenly a white jeep pulls up. The driver rolls down the window and he looks like he is around 20 and he sarcastically asks us if he can play. Me and my friends could tell that they were gangsters so we quickly got our stuff . My friend's bike was next to the guy's van and while my friend walked by they asked if he was leaving. He said yes and they threw chicken nuggets at him and sped of. Then we made a run for it and peeked in through the bushes. The jeep pulled up again and this time the 20 year old white guy got off and stole my friend's helmet and would have stole much more but we kept it with us. I got so mad who the hell were they to barge in like that? I wanted to beat him up but who knows how many people were in the jeep and what they had like knives. What should I have done I am so mad throwing chicken nuggets like that
