A v8 Mitsubishi car? (not van or truck)?

Does anyone know of a older car made by Mitsubishi that was a v8 and AWD? The only AWD cars for Mitsubishi I know of were the GSX, Evo, and Galant VR-4 (i think the Galant was AWD) Anyway I was driving behind this guy with a Mitsubishi car. It looked about mid to late 90's. He had de-baged it except the logo, a symbol that said v8 and one that said AWD. I was wondering what car it was but can't find anything anywhere. I have a feeling the kid slapped the v8 and AWD badges on there to look cool and the car doesn't really have it in it. Considering my 4 cyl non-turbo eclipse seemed faster, but if anyone knows what car it is if they made one that would be great.
