Was stalin a worse monster than hitler?

Hard to say as how do you measure something like that? The world didn't ignore Russian agression had to use the Soviet Union to stop Hitler and by 1945 no-one had the capability of pushing the Red Army back from occupied territories. Initially the US could have used the h bomb but would that not have made them just as bad?The cold war was the only way to attempt to limit Soviet agression as was the creation of nato and the EU. With such questions it's difficult to see just black and white people do what they think is best at the time(in terms of Soviet agression I mean,)and history takes its course.
