My dog is acting very paranoid?

hi, i have a dog and shes acting very strange today. typically she likes to be close to me, but she doesnt like to sit on laps and shes not very snuggly. she usually lies on the ground next to me, and she follows me everywhere. ive been sick for a few months now, and one thing ive noticed is shes a little more clingy. she actualy wants me to hold her every now and then when she usualy hates it. but today, shes been extremely clingy, its strange. she wants to be on my lap everywhere, even when im on the toilet!!! she even sits on my lap and stares at me, and starts whining. ive fed her, ive let her outside many times and shes still doing this. when i dont let her sit on my lap she starts to shake and starts pacing. she even hid behind the couch, which she usually only does when shes really really scared. should i be worried??? do you think it could be because im sick, or is it because theres something wrong with her? she did this exact same thing to my dad about 20 minutes before he had a cardiac arrest. im not saying im going to have a cardiac arrest, lol. but im just asking. do dogs do this sometimes if their masters get very sick or something??? or is there something wrong with her?
